WICK FAQ's
How to refresh
After extinguishing the flame, allow the wax to cool and harden (±5 minutes).
Remove the used wick and any hardened wax around it. Gently smooth or shake the pearls, then either insert a new wick or reuse the existing one by trimming off any burnt or blackened portion and reinserting the remaining wick into the pearls.
Your candle is then ready to be relit.
How long does each wick burn for?
– 6cm wicks: approximately 5–8 hours
– 10cm wicks: approximately 8–12 hours
Burn time may vary depending on vessel size, airflow, and wick placement.
Wick Placement
Insert the wick into the pearls, ensuring it stands upright with approximately 0.5cm - 1cm exposed above the surface.
The wax coating helps the wick remain stable and upright within the pearls for optimal performance.
Keep the wick centred and away from the edges of the vessel.
Using multiple wicks
For larger vessels, multiple wicks can be used to create a more even burn and stronger light output.
Space each wick at least 7cm apart to prevent overlapping melt pools.
Can wicks be reused?
If a wick has not fully burned, the remaining portion can be trimmed and reused. Remove any blackened section and reinsert the clean portion into the pearls.
For best results and consistent performance, we recommend using a fresh wick where possible.
